The re-election bid of Senator Andy Uba for the Anambra South senatorial seat on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has got a major boost as a socio-cultural group, Anambra South Citizens United for Good Representation, ASCUFGR, yesterday, backed his candidature.

After a plenary in Nnewi, Anambra State, the group said it resolved to mobilize for Uba during the March 28 National Assembly election given his experience, adding that he remained the best candidate to continue to represent them.

Coordinator of the group, Odinaka Chukwuka, said: “We have followed the campaigns of those contesting the Anambra South senatorial seat with keen interest.

“After due and careful deliberations, we came to the conclusion that Dr. Andy Uba remains the best candidate for now, to continue to represent us in the Senate.

“It not a spontaneous declaration, but the product of careful analysis, meticulous consideration and overwhelming reality and approval rating.”
