Over 2b people globally lack affordable internet access – Report

While price of broadband remains prohibitive for billions people in the developing and emerging countries, with women and rural dwellers affected most, a new report from the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI) released yesterday at the just concluded 2015 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain has revealed that more than two billion people in the region can still not afford internet access as a result of cost.
