Henry Chiwendu known as Slay rocked the music scene with a bit of attitude when his song Agbada blew over. No doubt Slay must have been given a push by the Agbada-wearing trend among young musicians now but the singer in a chat with Showtime confessed the song was actually inspired by a girl who broke his hearts sometime ago.
“The song was inspired by my true life love story of rejection. When things were not rosy for me, there was a girl that would not have me as a lover. In fact the girl rejected me and I felt so heartbroken that it got me down. But funny enough, the same lady ran into me when I was rocking a stylish Agbada and she succumbed. So, Agbada to me has with it a story, a story of style and love” he said.
The singer cum model is signed on to Castro Music Empire and currently working on releasing the video of his popular track Agbada. Slay bursts into a new dimension with Agbada , blending his melodious vocals to the groovy beats of the song.
