Stakeholders, leaders and members of the traditional rulers council of Delta North senatorial district have expressed dismay over continuous verbal attacks member representing Aniocha South constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Onyemaechi Mrakpor. Speaking at a press conference in Asaba, the spokesman of the monarch’s council, Chief Solomon Onyejeoseh said for sometime now, a few disgruntled and faceless persons have continued to sponsor publications in the newspapers aimed at smearing the name Hon. Mrakpor.
The leaders stated that they decided to come together to put the records straight, adding that as custodians of the laws of the land and tradition of their various communities, they would no longer fold their hands and allow some desperate persons destroy the good things they have enjoyed over the years through the effective representation of Mrs. Mrakpor.
The group described Mrakpor, currently the PDP candidate to represent Aniocha/Oshimili Federal constituency in the coming elections as a humble, respectable daughter of the area, who had used her two terms in office as a lawmaker, to attract monumental developments, which include, construction of a 60-bed hospital, doctors, nurses quarters, provision of ambulances, construction of markets, as well as scholarship schemes for the less privileged.
