Barely five days to the conduct of the rescheduled general election on March 28 and April 11, Diocesan Bishop of Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Oluyemisi Ogunleye, has enjoined Nigerians to go to the polls in a peaceful and orderly manner.

He also urged all security agencies to ensure adequate protection of life and property without being partisan in the interest of the nation.

Ogunleye gave the charge Monday in a communiqué issued at the end of the 9th Annual Synod of Methodist Church, Nigeria Diocese of Lagos West, Idimu Egbe Circuit.

According to the cleric, it is important for the electorate to vote wisely in an atmosphere devoid of inducements and intimidation and to wait till votes are counted and announced to engender citizen’s participation and ownership of the process.
