APC says plan to declare curfew in Adamawa State aimed at manipulating poll result

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned against the curious move to declare a night-time curfew in Adamawa State on Saturday, saying it is aimed at preventing the agents of the APC in the state from getting to the collation centre.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said all the agents of the parties that participated in Saturday’s elections in the state must not be barred from witnessing the collation of the results, under any guise, so that no one will manipulate the outcome of the voting.

”There is something sinister about the sudden move to declare a curfew in Adamawa after elections have been held successfully. We are therefore warning against any attempt to tamper with the results of the voting in the state. The will of the people must prevail,”
