ABEOKUTA—The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State, Prince Gboyega Isiaka   has appealed to his kinsmen in the Ogun West senatorial district not to betray him during the April 11 governorship election.

Isiaka during a campaign rally, said the people of the zone should not throw away the opportunity afforded them by his candidature of the PDP to produce the governor of the state for the first time.

He expressed regret that Ogun West remained the only zone yet to produce the governor of the state in the past 35 years, assuring his kinsmen that since the zone now had the opportunity to produce the governor of the state, he would not disappoint them.

He said: “You have all vowed to vote for your kinsman in the coming elections and I hope you won’t betray us. I pray we don’t betray ourselves. I appeal to you to also extend your votes to President Goodluck Jonathan at the polls.”
