ABEOKUTA—The operatives  of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Ogun State Command, has arrested 50 aliens.

State Comptroller of NIS, Mrs Victoria Isang, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Abeokuta, yesterday, saying they were arrested at different locations in Odeda Local Government.

Isang said the command was able to achieve this feat due to its zero tolerance for illegal entry into the country.

While giving a breakdown of the number according to their nationalities, Isang said 29 were Beninoise; 11 Nigeriens, and 10 Togolese.

She said they would be repatriated to their countries within 24 hours.

Isang said intelligence and other avenues of tracking illegal immigrants, the NIS was able to arrest the 50 illegal immigrants.
