The senator decried the slow ‎pace of development in the state under the present administration, especially in Moro local government area. According to him, the council area has been tagged “abandoned zone’’ due to lack of government presence.
Ajibola said his government would overhaul the dilapidated infrastructure in the state by giving special attention to provision of potable water, good access roads and good healthcare facility.
He said a PDP government would implement free education up to senior secondary school while bursary and scholarship would be given to students of tertiary institutions. Ajibola appealed to the people of the area to vote massively for him and other PDP candidates to bring about the desired change and freedom from bondage.
Ajibola assured the people that PDP government would empower the youth, women, create jobs and assist farmers to enhance their farm outputs. Earlier, a party elder in Malete, Malam Ahmed Yusuf, assured the governorship flag bearer that the entire Moro people would vote massively for PDP in all elections.
Yusuf said the people of the area were suffering from lack of good roads, healthcare facilities, good classrooms and poor staffing in primary schools. He said the high cost of Kwara State University (KWASU) tuition fee was unaffordable for indigenes while they lacked adequate water and poor electricity.
