PORT HARCOURT— PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has demanded an apology from the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, over his allegation that the PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Nyesom Wike, cloned his programme for the state.

Flanked by Professors Onuchuke Okeh, Kaniye Ebeku and others, Mr Isaac Okemini said the party would not hesitate to initiate legal actions against Peterside if he failed to tender an apology.

He said Peterside’s allegation was entirely false, stressing that Wike developed his blueprint for the state 10 months ago.

He said that Wike’s programme promised to address issues around the court that had been closed for about 18 months, the comatose legislature in the state and alleged dictatorship of one man in the governance of the state.

Continuing, he said if it was the same programme proposed by Peterside if elected, then it meant that the APC planned to reject Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s programme.
