Oshiomhole chides PDP, as Edo APC flags off campaigns

By Simon Ebegbulem

BENIN—THE All  Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, kicked off its senatorial campaign Wednesday, with Governor Adams Oshiomhole boasting that the antecedents of candidates of the APC will guarantee them victory in the forthcoming polls.

He said that the Edo South senatorial district candidate of the APC and Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Mr Samson Osagie, is one that Bini people will be proud to have in the Senate based on his experience both as a former House of Assembly member and a member of the House of Representatives “unlike the PDP candidate, Matthew Urhoghide who is a neophyte in law making.”

Introducing the APC candidates to the crowd at the rally of the party which kicked off at the traditional Urhokpota Ground, Benin City, the governor said: “Over the past four years, Samson has been the Minority Whip of the House of Representatives. When you listen to him speak on issues of Edo State, and the Nigerian economy, on issues of Nigeria’s well-being, you feel happy as an Edo man.”
