A youth group, Ogbomoso Youth and Development Forum, OYDF, has stressed the need for every registered voter in the ancient town to vote and ‘’vote right’’ as the general elections inch nearer.

The group also endorsed the return of Mrs Mulikat Akande-Adeola to the House of Representatives, urging support for her.

In a press release by its national coordinator, Mr. Akin Ogunlola, the forum said the people of the town must bear in mind that the election presents the opportunity for their voices to be heard and it gives them the chance to hold their representatives accountable.

According to Ogunlola; ‘’Our people in Ogbomoso must realise that their votes represent their voices as Nigerians, and voting in this election is their opportunity to hold elective office holders accountable for their decisions. More important reason to vote, is the fact that this election gives us the opportunity to have a say in important national and local issues affecting our community. It’s a golden opportunity for Ogbomoso to choose progress over stagnation.’’
