LAGOS—Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for Lagos state has called on law enforcement agents to provide adequate security for all parties involved in the coming election without any bias as this would further enhance the democratic process in Nigeria.

He made the call at the stakeholders interactive meeting with the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, security agencies and political parties in Lagos.

‘’The security agencies should see themselves as agents of the state and not of any particular political party.

‘’There is a need to build agencies like the Police and Directorate of Security Services, DSS, and other parastatals as enduring institutions.

‘’They must rise above partisan politics and not be subject to the whim and caprices of any political office holders.

Meantime, the campaign of Ambode witnessed by a mammoth crowd in Agege local government area of Lagos.
