Yenagoa—Bayelsa State Government has described as mere rumour and misinformation, claims by some politicians in the state that Governor Seriake Dickson was not qualified to run in the 2016 governorship election, insisting that he was qualified by the constitution and performance in office.
The government, through its Public Information Management Committee, headed by Dr. George Fente, argued that though the people of the state should be wary of misinformation and political mudslinging, Dickson was qualified for a second tenure based on the massive infrastructure and human capital development provided for the people of the state.
