WARRI—THE Commissioner, Special Duties, in charge of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and Secretary of Okowa Campaign Council, Warri South Local Government Area, Mr. Matthew Opuoru, weekend, received former House of Assembly candidate for Warri South constituency II, on the platform of Democratic Peoples’ Party, PDP, Prince Odjuwu Okumagba and some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as well as Labour Party, to the PDP.
Opuoru, who received the decampees, when he played host to a large gathering of PDP faithful from Okumagba wards 1 and 2, Okere, Otowodo and other wards in Warri South council, noted that the major aim of the meeting was to bring everybody together to have a sense of belonging.
Describing himself as a key political figure in Warri, particularly in the Urhobo axis, Opuoru enjoined party faithful in Okumagba and other wards in Warri South constituency II to ensure that Delta State PDP governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and other PDP flag bearers win in their areas in the forthcoming elections, so that “We can have a voice in the next government.”
