According to Tweets posted on the DHQ twitter handle, “The terrorists launched massive attacks from different angles, Friday night. Weapons including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) & rapid propelled grenade launchers were captured”.
While noting that the number of dead terrorists and civilian casualty were being compiled, the DHQ said “five soldiers were fatally wounded and being treated”.
It added, “We have reinforced the town of Damaturu as pursuit of fleeing terrorists is ongoing.”
