Afcon 2015: 5 facts on Tunisia vs Zambia match

Five facts for the Africa Cup of Nations Group B match between Tunisia and Zambia in Ebebiyin Thursday:

— Tunisia have won two and drawn two of four previous Cup of Nations clashes with Zambia, including a shock 4-2 triumph in a 1996 semi-final in South African city Durban.

— Zambia have not won a matchday 2 fixture since trouncing Burkina Faso 5-1 19 years ago. Chipolopolo (Copper Bullets) have lost five matches and drawn three since.

— The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia have struggled since lifting the trophy as 2004 hosts — making three quarter-final exits and being eliminated twice after the first round.

— Zambian Honour Janza is one of just three local-based coaches at the 2015 tournament. The others are Florent Ibenge from the Democratic Republic of Congo and South African Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba.

— Second-place Tunisia are nine places above Zambia on the FIFA Africa rankings and 28 spots higher on the world rankings.
