Adeyeye threatens N10bn suit against APC

Ado ekiti—Minister of State for Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has threatened to file a N10 billion libel suit against the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State and its spokesperson, Taiwo Olatubosun over claims that the Federal Government paid N22 billion to Ekiti State government as refund on construction of Federal roads in the state.

The minister said neither himself nor President Goodluck Jonathan said at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential campaign rally in Ado Ekiti that N22 billion was paid to Ekiti State by the Federal government as being claimed by the APC.

He said: “The APC and Taiwo Olatubosun must retract this malicious falsehood within the next 14 days or risk N10 billion libel suit.”

Speaking further, Adeyeye said; “the road was initially awarded by the administration of Segun Oni for N6.3bn and was later increased to N7.5bn by the same government.

“The APC government of Kayode Fayemi increased the contract from N7.5 billion to N11 billion.”
