BOMADI—MORE than 2,000 ex-militants under the aegis for Niger Delta Youth for Peaceful Election, NDPE, have reiterated their support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election bid, volunteering to assist security agents in ensuring crisis-free polls on February 14 and 28.

Leader of the group, who is the Delta State Chairman, Phase Three Presidential Amnesty Programme, Mr. Preye Ekpebide, at Bomadi, Delta State, yesterday, warned that if the attack on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential campaign does not stop, they would be forced to retaliate.

Ekpebide noted that despite the government’s efforts in tackling the neglect of the North by previous administrations, northerners were venting their frustration on the president.
