Yenagoa—Former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva, was yesterday, confirmed as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for state’s East senatorial district in the 2015 polls.

Also, the former Chairman of Ekeremor Local Government Area, Mr. Eddie Julius and Prince Preye Aganaba emerged the senatorial candidates of the party for Bayelsa West and Bayelsa Central senatorial districts respectively.

Sylva, according to a party source, was cleared based on his recognition as a leader in the party.

An aide to Sylva, who spoke anonymously, said though discussions on his plan to run for Senate in the state was discussed, “but I am not aware that he has procured the form and had been cleared. But the issue was discussed by his kitchen cabinet.”
