ENUGU — The Federal Government’s Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme, SURE-P on the Graduate Internship Scheme, GIS, yesterday, commenced a three-day graduate intern training programme for beneficiaries in Enugu State.
The training is to enable the interns optimise their internship period by developing useful skills and positive habits in their place of internship.
While delivering the opening address at the training, the Project Director, GIS, Mr. Peter Papka, said, “SURE-P provides critical safety nets to deliberately create a critical bridge that will enable Nigerian graduate cross from graduation to workplace with ease.
“This gap has been responsible for the claim that the graduates are unemployable because they have few skills and no experience to enable them hit the ground running in the workplace.”
