Osun PDP suspends six members

Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has suspended six of its members for alleged anti party activities arising from the just concluded conduct of the House of Assembly primaries in Ile Ife.

This was contained in a release issued and signed by the chairman of the Party in Osun state Alh Gani Olaoluwa shortly after the state working committee meeting of the Party in Osogbo yesterday.

According to the release the six members were suspended following recommendations from Ife central local government chapter of the the party which was ratified by the state Working committee of the Party.

The release quoted section 58 (1) g and h of the PDP constitution which stipulates “that members should not engage in disorderly conduct at meetings or rallies, also they are not to engage in any conduct likely to disaffection among members of the Party”.

The statement added that “ after the outcome of the result 45,15,1,1 the suspended members took to acts of indiscipline which the PDP is not known for”.

The suspended members according to the statement are Mr Taiwo Adebusola aka Otte,Femi Oke aka Akilapa,Adewusi Adebimpe aka Iya juwon,Bunmi Opabunmi,Dele Olowookere and Ayodeji Yussuf.

“They are to remain suspended untill the outcome of the disciplinary commitee”, the statement added.
