Members of the NFF Congress have stated that it would not be involved in any fresh elections into the Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation.

Sir Ephraim C. Chukwuemeka, the Chairman of the Abia State Football Association spoke against the background of a recommendation by Barr. Okey Ajunwa for by-elections into some NFF Executive Committee positions.

“The NFF Congress was appropriately convoked in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday, 30th September, 2014 and we conducted one of the fairest elections ever seen or possible. The Congress gave Mr. Amaju Pinnick and other members of the NFF Board a four –year tenure.

“As far as we are concerned, the next time the Congress will be convoked for elections into NFF Executive Committee is in four years’ time.”
