ABUJA—Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Abdu Bulama has disclosed that the ministry made more than N38.9 billion from donation of satellite images and registration of foreign technologies.
The minister made the assertion in Abuja at this year’s Ministerial Platform on the achievements of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology in the past one year.
Bulama said that the ministry is working hard towards the realization of the 25 years road map for Nigeria’s space programme in 2030, saying that the plan is irreversible.
He stated that the ministry is committed in making Nigeria one of the acknowledged leaders of the scientifically and technologically developed nations of the world come2030, which it had demonstrated by putting the measures in motion through the launch of the NigeriaSat-2 (Nigeria Sat-X) and NigeriaSat-X in 2011.
