KANO – The gubernatorial candidate of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party in 2011 election, Alhaji Sagir Salihu Takai Tuesday morning defeated six other candidates for the sole PDP ticket .

Takai recorded a landslide victory as he scored 1260 votes.

Muhammad Abacha, eldest son of the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha withdrew from the exercise last night.
