I’m destined to represent Ethiope fed constituency —Nani

Majority Whip of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. John Nani, currently on consultation tour to stakeholders on his aspiration to contest the Ethiope federal constituency election, has said he was destined to defend and address the plight of his people at the National Assembly.

He said that accordingly, the people of the area had demanded from him to represent them at the House of Representatives.

Nani reaffirmed the commitment of his people to the declaration by President Goodluck Jonathan to re-contest the 2015 presidential election, adding that the President’s declaration was not only democratic but one which met the yearning of the generality of the populace.

“First, we practice rotational representation in Ethiope West state constituency, where I must bow out in 2015 to enable Eriatake, Chief James Ibori’s first daughter who hails from there and who every one presumes will win, to replace me.

“The people have asked me to represent them in the House of Representatives, where there is currently a vacuum, following what they described as my track record of meritorious service in the state House of Assembly. I must respect the wishes of my people.”
