Yenagoa—Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, yesterday, dismissed claims that the results of the recent primary elections of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state were compiled at Government House, Yenagoa.

Responding to a question during a media chat monitored on the state radio in Yenagoa, the governor also denied claims in some quarters that his administration masterminded the emergence of some National Assembly and state House of Assembly aspirants as winners at the primaries.

Dickson said that the era of compiling party election results within the confines of Government House was over.

According to him, those seeking elective offices ought to subject themselves to the will of the electorate.

“We did not write party election results at Government House. The era when people sit at Government House to write election results is over. Members of the party and aspirants must subject themselves to the will of the people,” he said.
