Grant Nwaogbe’s work as a Construction Engineer at Total Nigeria serves as confirmation to his exceptional technical acumen, business administration expertise, and project management capabilities.

Nwaogbe was instrumental in the development of numerous complex engineering projects over the course of a decade, which resulted in the promotion of innovations that enhanced the operational efficiency, safety, and infrastructure resilience of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Nwaogbe played a critical role in the preparation of scopes of work, the review of fundamental and detailed engineering designs, and the supervision of procurement processes in his capacity as a construction engineer. His comprehensive oversight encompassed the evaluation, mobilization, and supervision of both on-site installation activities and workshop fabrication conducted by contractors. Notably, his role also involved meticulous planning and execution of offshore production plant shutdown maintenance, vessel cleaning, and facilities improvements, ensuring seamless operations in a high-stakes environment. One of his most significant accomplishments was the replacement and repair of critical components on Total Nigeria’s offshore platforms.

Nwaogbe oversaw initiatives that improved operational capability and safety, such as the installation of protective barriers on cranes, the modification of test separators to accommodate high gas flows, and the implementation of security enhancements on offshore platforms such as the AMENAM production platform and Barge Beau Geste. These contributions not only enhanced safety but also prolonged the lifespan of critical infrastructure.

The full field shutdowns of some oil mining lease (OMLs) were examples of high-pressure shutdowns in which Nwaogbe’s expertise was evident. The successful replacement of critical components, such as turbine generator cooling water lines, with advanced Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) piping was guaranteed by his leadership. His meticulous attention to detail also encompassed aesthetic and functional enhancements, such as the maintenance of high-pressure petroleum export headers and offshore cranes to guarantee visual clarity and structural integrity.
