ASABA—STAKEHOLDERS of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, have vowed to mobilize votes for the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and other candidates of the party during the 2015 general elections.

Making the promise at a meeting of the party, which was attended by party leaders from the three wards of Abraka community, the party’s Director of Youth Mobilization, Chief Sunday Onoriode, charged party members to be committed to the activities of the party.

In their resolution, the leaders from the three wards, Chief Tony Onoharigho, Chief Sapele Atigogo, Chief Cheko Inomiesaha, Chief Warri Godday, Kizito Oweh, Mr. Felix Erhimedafe, Mr. Wilson Agbure and Mrs. Grace Uwhumiakpo, maintained that Abraka community was a PDP stronghold.

Chief Onoriode, in a chat with newsmen, said: “We have only one party which is PDP and if you decide to leave the party for Labour Party or All Progressives Congress, APC, you are going to start afresh and you know what that means. Abraka is a home of PDP and we must show that during 2015 elections.

“Let us not shy away from the truth, you cannot benefit where you do not work. Our right to demand for what we want for is when we deliver the party. Our resolution today is to go home and start strategizing on how we as Abraka people can give bloc vote to Sen. Okowa and all other candidates of the party from House of Assembly to the presidency.”
