The inaugural edition of the Challenge Arena game show, an indigenous blend of sports and entertainment quiz game show, has debutted in Lagos.

The game show is aimed at empowering several youths in the country.

The Challenge Arena game is being organised by Mayfield investment Limited, in conjunction with Caveri capital, at Ark studio Ogudu, GRA, Lagos started few days ago.

Wale Adegboyega of Cavari Capital, stated that any of the final constants would have the privilege of wining between the sum of N250 to five million naira, if they get the right answer to all the question within the stipulated time.

He also said that eight contestants would be given the chance to answer questions on the global happenings on sports and entrainment within 15 minutes.

“It is a TV quiz game show aimed at promoting sports and entertainment and is targeted at people from age 15 to 50. The concept came from the desire to spur sport-loving Nigerians to challenge their knowledge about sport entertainment and information, he said.

“The Challenge Arena has eight contestants and they will answer questions on sports and entertainment. They are scored by the computer, which grades them by how fast and accurate they are in answering their questions. They have a total of 10 questions in the first stage. At the end of the stage, the three people with the lowest marks will be eliminated. However, those eliminated will be given a sum of N20,000 each.

“In the second stage, there are eight questions. And contestants have a total of 50 seconds to answer a question. At the end, the three with the lowest marks will be eliminated again and they will be given cash prize of N50,000.

“The remaining two finalists will answer five questions with 15 seconds for each question. At the end, the winner proceeds to the final while the runner up rewarded with N150,000 cash prize. At the final, the finalist, depending on the points he has garnered can play for N1m or N2m,” he said.
