By Daniel  Gumm

WARRI—A GROUP, Delta Coalition For Change, DCC, committed to the Delta South senatorial ambition of former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Director- General, Mr. Temisan Omatseye, has told the national leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC, that the Chairman, Electoral Committee of the party’s senatorial primaries held on December 8, at Oleh, Chief C. Ashibogwu, among other leaders of the party, could attest to the victory of Omatseye, thus making him the authentic candidate.

DCC, during a peaceful protest, yesterday, at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, against the alleged substitution of Omatseye’s name, President of the group, Mr. Young Piero, noted that the National Working Committee of the APC “had sat over the matter and declared Omatseye the winner of the December 8, 2014 primaries, after the Chairman, Electoral Committee, Ashibogwu, Secretary of the committee, Lucky Demide, Chief Francis Okpozo, Chief Frank Kokori, the SAS and the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of Oleh Division, all signed that it was free and fair.”

The group called on the National Chairman APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and the leadership of the party to immediately declare Omatseye the party’s Delta South senatorial candidate for the forthcoming 2015 polls.

The National Deputy Treasurer of APC, Abubakar Suleja, who addressed the placard carrying protesters, promised that the party leadership will address the issue.
