Dr Chris Ngige

Awka—SENATOR Chris Ngige, representing Anambra Central senatorial zone, has said despite attempts by some people to run down the party in Anambra State, All Progressives Congress, APC, is still the party to beat.
Speaking after he was returned to contest for senate in 2015 at the party’s national assembly primaries in Awka, Ngige said certain politicians had done everything possible to kill APC in the state, insisting that members of the party had worked hard to strengthen it.
He said APC was determined to provide the necessary change in the governance of the country and urged the people of Anambra State to remain part of the impending change after the 2015 general elections.
Ngige said: “Our national chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, has started the process and like John the Baptist, he is preparing the way for the next president who will emerge from APC. I want to assure Anambra people that the party will not disappoint them.”
He thanked the people of the senatorial zone and the people of the state for the confidence reposed in him to continue to represent them in the Senate.
Ngige added that he was humbled by their decision to re-affirm his candidacy.
