Enugu—The Enugu State Youth Movement, EYM, has called for prayers for both President Goodluck Jonathan and Senator Ayogu Eze to realise their ambitions as president and governor of Enugu State, respectively in 2015.

The EYM made the call for the prayers after its meeting in Enugu yesterday.

In a communiqué’ signed after the meeting which started at 9am ended at 6pm and attended by all prayer warrior units of EYM, Coordinators from the 17 local government of the state, women wing leaders, as well as the entire 17 executives members and the EYM representatives from UK, USA and Germany, the union said: ‘’The EYM received reports from the 27 members of EYM prayer warrior units who had just ended their 14 day fasting/ prayers; the women leaders and the 17 local government coordinators.

According to the communiqué signed by the National Leader of EYM, Chris Agu, the following resolutions were reached:

‘’To intensify the sensitization of the people to safeguard their civil and political rights against the imposition of unpopular candidates on them by detractors, their agents and class beneficiaries in the state. We re-affirm our Saturday, October 11, endorsement and total support for President Jonathan for President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu for Enugu west Senatorial Zone.

‘’That based on the overall reports from all the units and the prayer warriors’ revelation, we unanimously endorse Senator Ayogu Eze as governor Enugu State come 2015 and urge our members to swing into action to actualize our hearts’ desires.”
