PORT HARCOURT—The All Progressives Congress, APC, has cleared Olorogun O’tega Emerhor for the 2015 governorship election in Delta State, ahead of the December 4, party primaries to pick the party’s flag bearers for next year’s elections.
Emerhor, who was on Sunday handed his clearance certificate by Alhaji Tijani Gwazo, Chairman, APC South-South Governorship Screening Committee siting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after going through the screening exercise, noted that his clearance had set the stage for the battle for Delta State Government House, describing same as the beginning of good things to come.
It could not be ascertained if any other governorship aspirant from Delta State has been screened or cleared by the party.
It will be recalled that Emerhor was on November 18, adopted as Delta State APC’s sole aspirant and by extension candidate for the 2015 Delta governorship poll by all zonal, local government and ward leaders of the three senatorial districts in the state.
