Founder of Insight Christian Center, Rev. Prince Ufford has urged Nigerians to turn their minds to Christ Jesus for the peace, progress and prosperity of the country in 2015 and beyond.
Speaking at the just concluded church Revival 2014 with theme; “Cry for Mercy”, Rev. Ufford called on Nigerians to genuinely repent from their wicked ways and embrace righteousness which he described as the sure way to obtain God’s mercy, stressing that no one can obtain God’s mercy without true repentance.
He further challenged Christians to wake up to their fundamental responsibilities which he described as being the light, salt and spice of the world, lamenting that it is disheartening to see that most Nigerians including Christians wallow in corruption.
Ufford maintained that it is high time Nigerian Christians took their rightful place in the country, adding that the Church is supposed to direct the nation on the way to go and not the nation driving the Church.
“The nation is still standing because there are genuine people praying for the nation and seeking God’s face in righteous-ness,” he opined.
Explaining how to access God’s mercy, the guest speaker, Bishop Abiodun Adeniyi of the Sword of Spirit Ministry, in his message, enumerated key elements through which Nigeria can obtain God’s mercy which are: through repentance, humility and prayer.
