Sefiya is a budding Afropop artiste who may appear like a greenhorn in the music terrain, but she knows what she is about and how to go and get it. In a ‘no holds barred’ interview with Showtime she boldly declared that she is in a world of her own.

“There is so much competition in the music industry but I am not here to compete with anybody. I just want to do music and be my best. So when you hear my song, you can know that this is Sefiya .I am happy female artistes are coming out and doing well for themselves. I want to be a part of that success” she declared

On female artistes like Maheeda exploring sex to push their music, Sefiya said she won’t be

walking that path. “I can’t be like Maheeda; I am just a funky person that loves to keep it funky and sexy” she said.

The charming singer also opened up on the challenges she has been facing in her music career: “I am not getting the responses I expect to get from people. I don’t know if it’s from me, I don’t know if it’s from the people I am working with. The responses I am getting are good, but I want much more.”
