The famous Onikan Stadium comes alive on Saturday, November 8, 2014 as Catholic faithful and other football lovers converge for the final of the Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martins football tournament.

Catholic Church of the Assumption, Falomo, Ikoyi would square up against Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo in the final game billed to kick off by 3.00pm.

To qualify for the final, Church of the Assumption, Falomo defeated St Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Ladi-Lak, Bariga 5-4 on penalties after full and extra time scores stood 1-1 in the first semi finals.

The second semi final game saw Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oke-Afa pick the final ticket at the expense of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Arida 3-1 (penalties) having played 0-0.

The final match will be preceded by the third place playoff between St Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Ladi-Lak and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Arida.
