UMUAHIA—ONE of the governorship aspirants in Abia State for the 2015 general elections, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has said he will not probe past administrations in the state, if elected governor.

Abaribe, who spoke in Umuahia, said he would not want to waste time probing past governments because it would draw the state backwards .

Abaribe said if given the mandate by Abia people, he would bring three virtues to governance of the state, listing such virtues to include character, competence and integrity.

He explained that these would propel him to provide good governance to the people.

“What a governor needs to do is to make people comfortable in life. I want to be governor to give Abians joy. I am certain that the people of Abia through the PDP will make their choice for somebody who will solve the many problems of the state.

“Government is a continuum and I will do that. I will complete any project by Governor T. A. Orji and bring him to commission it because I have no problem with giving recognition to whom it is due. No project in the interest of the State will be left uncompleted. I believe that I will leave Abia State better than I met it. If I get the opportunity nobody will find me wanting”, Abaribe said.
