Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba has boasted that the Super Eagles can’t beat them in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Akwa Ibom on November 19.

South Africa top Group A with eight points, one ahead of Congo and four more than the African champions.

Before the game, both sides penultimate matches hold on November 15, with the Bafana Bafana hosting bottom-placed Sudan while the Eagles travel to face Congo.

South Africa appear to have the easier route to next year’s AFCON, needing only one victory from their final  two games to ensure qualification but speaking in an interview with The Star, 64-year old Mashaba said South Africa hope to finish the qualifying race in a flourish.

Mashaba urged his troops to keep their feet on their ground and not get swollen-headed as they head into the final round of matches.

“With the way things are going, I am confident that we are surely going to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations. We have done the hard work and it has paid us well but the job is not yet done, as we still need to win our next two matches..

“The players must not think the party is over but keep on fighting until we accomplish the business of qualifying. South African expect more from us and we cannot afford to disappoint them, especially now that we are almost there”, added Mashaba, whose side are yet to win any of their AFCON qualifying matches at home.

He however insisted that his troops will get their first win against the Sudan at the Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit on November and get at worst a draw  in Nigeria.

“Our target is to beat Sudan and come to Nigeria, for at worst a draw”, said Mashaba.
