UGHELLI—AS part of activities to mark its 18th Annual Area Men’s Movement Convention, the Apostolic Church of Nigeria, Warri Area, Delta State, has empowered five indigent members of the church with tricycles.

Presenting tahe tricycles at the convention at church’s Abraka District Center, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Chairman, Action Men Committee, Elder Celestine Akpan, noted that 21 members of the church have so benefited from the empowerment programme.

which he said was aimed at relieving the men from financial burden.

“We have seen the afflictions of our people financially and our fathers in the council were inspired to set up a committee about six years ago and that committee put in places this empowerment. There are no strings attached and it is not profit driven.

“We expect nothing from them in return our hope is that they continue to serve God all the days of their lives.”

Recipients of the tricycles were Mr. Francis Atokpe, Mr. Jacob Ughiameren, Mr. Sunday Akpan, Mr. Tom Irijavvghe and Mr. Sunday Aniefioke.
