ABUJA—AHEAD of the November 29 governorship primaries of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2015 general elections, a governorship aspirant in Delta State, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, said yesterday that her dream was to preside over a Delta State that would be functional, productive and prosperous to ensure that no citizen of the state lacked basic necessities of life.

She also said she would declare free and compulsory education from primary to secondary level while tertiary  education would be highly subsidized to an affordable level.

In a statement, Olejeme said if she became governor of Delta State, her administration would be anchored on agriculture, education, healthcare delivery, industrialization and mass housing scheme, among others.

She also promised to run an administration where no  group or section of the state would be shortchanged or marginalised in the scheme of things. “It is going to be a one family state,” he said.

Olejeme, in a statement through her media aide, Mr. Chukwuemeka Clement, reiterated  that she had developed a road map for a better Delta State.

On health, she said: ”All these are to ensure that no citizen of Delta State would die because of inability to afford medical bills or children denied education because parents or guardians could not afford their school fees.”

Olejeme, who also promised to give priority to agriculture and industrialization to achieve the twin advantages of food security and employment opportunities for youths, said: “These are my plans to diversify the economy and open windows of opportunities for both local and foreign investors. If we are given opportunity to govern and implement our programmes , no son or daughter of Delta state would travel abroad in search of greener pasture because there would be opportunity for everyone here.”
