LAGOS—The League of Concerned Lagosians, LCL, a political pressure group in Lagos State has endorsed the Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikolo to be the next governor of Lagos State in 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In campaign posters being circulated throughout the State tagged “Obanikolo save Lagos now” the LCL opined that Senator Obanikoro was the only person that can save Lagos from the iron-fisted clutches of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the APC, and former governor of the State.

According to the group, on coming to power in May, 2015, Senator Obanikoro will carry out a “deep, thorough, all encompassing and forensic” probe of the APC-led governments of both Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Babatunde Raji Fashola.

LCL said Lagos State has been deprived of genuine development because of the profligacy that has been witnessed under the rule of the APC in the state, stating that vast amount of scarce Lagos State resources have been diverted by the former governor of Lagos State to fund his pet project of imposing his political will on the whole of South-West Nigeria.
