Those who may be thinking that software Nigeria will not arrive in the world stage with global standard and capability should better have a rethink.

At the weekend,  the World Summit Award(WSA), African Content Award Jury has selected Malaria Destroy Game, (MDG) project as the best African mobile solution in  the mobile category of the World Summit Award. With development, MDG  solution is one of the winners of the African content award 2014.

It would be recalled that WSA had  received in the last 10 years extremely successful and powerful applications from Africa and could award several African winners in the global competition.

To strengthen this regional network and encourage more knowledge transfer inside the region, Peter  Bruck, WSA Chairman  in a letter to originator of MDG, Chris Uwaje said that , “We have started this year a special regional award and forum for people to learn from each other and encourage creative solutions in and from Africa.

“It is my pleasure to herewith inform you that the African Content Award Jury selected your project as the best

African mobile solution in your category. Therefore you are one of the WINNERS of the AFRICAN CONTENT AWARD 2014!

“All WSA-mobile nominees from Africa have been considered by the jury and they selected one winner and 2 Runner Ups by category”

With excitement , the  Chairman of  Mobile Software Solutions Limited, Chris Uwaje who has always believe that software Nigeria has the capacity to compete in the global market in his reaction said that,

“This award to Mobile Software Solutions as WAS-Africa e-Content 2014 Winner, clearly demonstrates that the ICT Technophobia era in Nigeria has been constructively demystified and significantly downsized.

“Now, Nigeria can confirm to the World that Software-Nigeria has arrived  and matured on world stage, with resounding capability to match global standard and enhance Africa’s Technology potentials.

When the organizers of WSA asked Mobile Software to express their  feelings on this award  through, the Oracle said  “Our hidden smiles and inspirations radiate in serving humanity, peace advocacy, impacting and saving life”.

Accordingly, the winners, the  promoters said would  be invited to receive their  awards at the 2nd Ministerial Forum on Science,

Technology and Innovation in Africa, organized by the African Development Bank,

African Union, UNECA and UNESCO, taking place  in Rabat, Morocco next month.

The winners awarding ceremony, according to the organizers  will be attended by Ministers and high level representatives from all sectors.

The event is expected to provide winners  unique platform to introduce their  projects  to new networks, gain important contacts and contribute to high level discussions with your knowledge and experience as entrepreneur.
