Ukraine on Sunday accused pro-Russian rebels of jeopardising the fragile peace push by intensifying their attacks on government positions despite a nine-day old ceasefire.

“The terrorist actions are threatening the realisation of the Ukrainian president’s peace plan,” said National Security and Defence Council spokesman Volodymyr Polyovy.
