PORT HARCOURT—A group, Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation, RIVLEAF, has called on people of the state to be actively involved in electing a governor for the state come 2015.

President of the group, Mr Alex Wele in a statement yesterday in Port Harcourt, said that the participation of the people will help build democratic governance in the state.
He noted that they recently commenced what he dubbed  RIVLEAF Search  to give room for  every one in the state to voice his or her feelings on who should succeed Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

He explained that the search was an opinion poll intended to collate the views of  Rivers people on the various aspirants that have indicated interest so far to contest the governorship election.
