Kayode Aderanti is new Lagos CP

THe new Commissioner of Police, CP,  for Lagos State, Aderanti Cornelius Kayode was born into the family of Aderanti on  June 26, 1960, at Odo-Otin, in the present Osun State.

He obtained his Senior Secondary Education Certificate at Offa Grammar School in 1977. He was in Kwara State College of Technology between 1977 and 1979, where he obtained Certificate of Basic Studies (GCE Advance Level)

He graduated from the Department of Sociology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1982, and joined the Nigeria Police Force from the rank of cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, where he was trained at Police Staff College, Jos in 1984.

He also attended Harvard Kennedy School, Executive Education, USA, where he obtained certificate in Senior Executive in National and International Security in 2008.
Cornelius Kayode Aderanti, a global outreach, community developer, Police trainer, mentor and a big tree in the international community where he had served for years, had headed Interpol and later was posted as Director of Peace-keeping.

He was appointed  Commissioner in charge of the Western Ports Police Command in February this year.
