Group urges action to free Boko Haram captives

By Olayinka Ajayi

Following lingering Boko Haram attacks and forceful conscription of innocent citizens in Borno State, a coalition of civil society group, Action Team Against Conscription and Kidnap, ATACK, has called on Nigerians to pressurize President Goodluck Jonathan to rescue the Chibok girls and others under any form of captivity, safe and alive without further delay.

At a briefing in Lagos, Convener of the group, Debo Adeniran, however, lamented the failure of the military to bring back the abducted Chibok girls after several months.
He said: “Cameroonian soldiers who under 48hours rescueed the wife of their Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, abducted by the same insurgent group, shoewd that renewed culture of resistance to oppression of any kind can be used to guarantee the safety of every Nigeria.”
