ABUJA — A group, Destiny 2015, has expressed optimism that the current wave of insecurity will fizzle before the general election next year.

The founder of the group, Prince Bodi Ererebo, who is also the Ozudubi of Ijaw Nation, made the assertion at the formal inauguration of the group in Abuja.
According to Ererebo, the current wave of terrorism would be crushed before the end of the year, given the strident effort by thePrsident Goodluck Jonathan administration to contain insurgency and move the country forward.

The Ijaw leader also expressed hope that the Chibok schoolgirls, who were taken since April, would be successfully rescued and handed over to their parents in no distant time.
Ererebo said at the event, which also raised funds for the group, that insecurity would not posed any problem to the 2015 election.

He said: “I can tell you that between now and December the security problem will be solved. Also by the middle of next month we are hopeful that the Chibok girls will be released.”
He also noted that there will be free, fair and credible elections in 2015.

Responding to allegations that President Jonathan’s administration is not combating corruption, he said: “People will have one thing or the other to say about Jonathan. But I can tell you that Jonathan is handling the issue of corruption better than any other government.”

Noting that the president is qualified to contest in 2015, Ererebo said: “Destiny 2015, therefore, boldly calls on President Goodluck Jonathan to speedily heed the call of multitude of well-meaning Nigerians, for him to seek his constitutionally granted second term.”
