IBADAN – The Oyo State Police Command has arraigned a 30-year-old man, Monsuru Tiamiyu, for allegedly raping a teenager in Ibadan.

The accused was said to have committed the crime at Ajeja village, Moniya, Ibadan at about 1:40pm.

When the accused appeared before an Iyaganku magistrate’s court, yesterday, his plea was not taken by Chief Magistrate E. A. Idowu.

In a charge sheet marked MM/1054c/2014, he was accused of having unlawful carnal knowledge his victim, the offence, the prosecutor said, contravened Section 357 of the Criminal Code.

The prosecutor of the case is E. Adeyela.
