BENIN CITY—AHEAD of the general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Mr Mika Amanokha has said Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s aides are vying for elective positions because they have gone through the necessary training that can take Edo State to the next level.
Amanokha who is Special Adviser to Governor Oshiomhole and an aspirant for the House of Assembly seat for Etsako East constituency, asserted that Oshiomhole had impacted positive leadership on his followers to ensure that even after he must have left office, good governance would continue to reign in the state.
The APC chieftain who was reacting to insinuations in some quarters that Oshiomhole’s aides are gunning for elective positions ahead of the election, said: “It is only mischief makers who are reading meanings into it. One way you can assess a leader is when he is able to lead and hand over the mantle of leadership to credible people.
“If most of his disciples are aspiring, it is simply because they have gone through the necessary rudiments, the necessary training that can take Edo State to the next level.”
